INFIDELS IN IRAN AND APOSTATES IN AMERICA
JONAH, JUSTICE, AND MERCY THAT COVERS
Yom Kippur, or the Day of Atonement, is the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, commanded to be observed annually in Leviticus 16. That chapter opens, however, with Aaron’s two sons, who “drew near to the LORD and died,” tragically highlighting humanity's fundamental problem: how can we draw near to God when our sin means approaching Him is death?
SACRIFICIAL WORSHIP
TRUMPETS, REMEMBRANCE, AND THE SIGN OF THE SON OF MAN
At first glance, the celebration of Rosh Hashanah doesn’t seem very important. The Israelites are commanded to rest, to eat, to drink, and to make an offering to the Lord. But they are also commanded to gather together and remember the blast of the trumpet. What trumpet blast are they supposed to remember, and why is it crucial in recognizing the Messiah?
WHAT WORLD ARE YOU FROM?
FAITH OF A FRIEND
From the beginning of time until the present day, people of faith have endured “torture…Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were killed with the sword. Two millennia have passed since He promised to “not leave us as orphans.” How then do we navigate the tension of living in a time where promises of God have not yet been fulfilled? We rest in the hand that holds us even when we’re sifted.
REPENTANCE AND BELOVEDNESS
The month of Elul in the Hebrew calendar is considered to be an appropriate time to repent and seek forgiveness because it is a time where God's lovingkindness and mercy are remembered. But interwoven in this month's theme of repentance, is another theme: being beloved. How do these two concepts relate?
THE WOMEN AT THE DOOR
It’s just a half-verse, a sentence fragment, easily overlooked in a meticulous passage detailing the construction of God’s dwelling place. The seminal text of any Biblical revelation is often obscure. Such is the case with the serving women. But if we have eyes to see, we will find them all throughout the Great Book.

DO YOU THINK ABOUT ETERNITY?
If you don’t fully believe in eternity, you will always naturally preserve your natural life, because you think it’s all you have. But the higher your view of an eternal kingdom, the lesser your view of your finite life now—which means you’ll spend it so much differently. So, how often do you think about eternity?
SISTERHOOD OF THE SERPENT-CRUSHERS
Psalm 68 is a magnificent song of David about the ultimate triumph of God over His enemies. While powerful enough for a surface-level reading, a subtle theme recounting the stories of women skull crushers and the victorious King that they foreshadow that adds considerable depth and color to our understanding of the psalm, and encourage us to join in the great host of women who will declare the final victory over our ancient serpent-enemy.
