Israeli media reported this evening that the Israeli Mossad played a key role in the recent arrest of a large terrorist cell in Denmark. The cell was reportedly planning a large wave of attacks in the Scandinavian nation before 20 members and a cache of weapons were seized by Danish authorities, who acted on intelligence provided by the Israeli spy agency.

The raid comes one year after a previous partnership between the Danes and the Mossad resulted in the capture of Iranian agents who were plotting to assassinate Iranian dissidents living in Denmark. Israeli authorities claim to have provided critical intelligence in the disruption of up to 60 terrorist plots across Europe in recent years.

Meanwhile, the debate in Germany's parliament continues over a ban on the Hezbollah organization, as four major parties spoke out in public support for the measure. The EU made a distinction between the military and political wings of Hezbollah in 2013, banning the former as a terrorist organization but allowing the latter to continue operations in Europe. However, many analysts agree that the distinction is artificial, as the political wing conducts fundraising, propaganda campaigns and political negotiations that directly benefit the militias who pose a formidable threat to the people of Israel, Lebanon and Syria. Hezbollah has a particularly strong presence in Germany, where over 1,000 operatives are working to co-opt dozens of mosques into a system of radicalization, recruitment and profit.
