Over the last three days, families across the center and south of Israel have had to spend the nights in bomb shelters. Every time the sirens go off, they have anywhere from 15-90 seconds to grab their kids and get to safety. At best, no one is getting sleep. At worst, we get news like we did today: a 6-year old Israeli boy didn’t make it in time and was killed by a Hamas rocket.
FAI and our Israeli division, Israel Alliance International, is sponsoring hotel rooms in the north of Israel (which is, presently, the only quiet part of the country) to get to a safe and restful place for a week. If they need more time, we’ll extend their stay.
